Works in this collection are based on old photographs depicting people shopping or walking along downtown streets in San Antonio, Texas. The paintings recall a time when it was a big event to go downtown to meet friends or shop. San Antonio has seen many changes to its downtown area, losing landmarks that remain in many hearts. I hope these paintings bring warm feelings to those who see them.

Different Strokes is an exhibit of work by the critique group "Brushstrokes". This show will hang at the New Braunfels Art League, 239 West San Antonio, St. New Braunfels, TX 78130 from August 2 thru August 30, 2010.
Reception will be held on August 6 from 5 to 8pm
